Heater blower fan

Featured Replies

Heater blower only works on 4th speed i.e. Fast. Please can someone post a link to a previous answer on how to diagnose whether it's the switch or the motor resister at fault. Fabia 1, '56 reg, 1.2 petrol.

Thanks.

Resistor.  It controls the resistance to lower fan speed for 1,2 and 3. :)

Needs replacing. :)

Mine would only work on the 4th Speed,I replaced mine this morning after looking thru the help here.
Only thing I can add is when refitting it into the heater duct make sure it's fully inserted and first twist to install is OK with fingers then I could not fully seat it without damaging it. I used a narrow wood chisel on the bottom and used a hammer to gently rotate it the last few degrees, you could probably do the same to rotate to remove but I used some grips on the elec connection.
It will be a lot easier to do without the air-con connection to the glovebox.

I had excelent delivery from this eBay seller and a very good price.

Many thanks for the help here

I got this one as it was local, eBay item number 110983547357 .

It's a pain in the ass job to do. Helps if you have small hands.

I found a good guide somewhere. I'll see if I can find it.
