What are ppls thoughts on delivery time for my new octy vrs? Ordered last weekend wk45 and was given standard 12wk leadtime by dealer. Not sure what effect/delay Xmas could have?

Gone for White estate, black pack, window tint,

cruise control.

You'll have seen other posts on this forum regarding delivery times and there is a very mixed reponse from potential Octy owners...personally (and I can probably speak for all BW43 guys here) I was fortunate to receive the car within the stated 12 weeks (well almost...at dealers at moment) but others are having to wait an age for theirs!! I would probably add 2wks on over the xmas period, just keep hounding the dealer and SUK for updates!

I was very happy with the service I received. Ordered 10th sept and collected yesterday.

Spoke to dealer today, car has arrived, pickup on Wednesday! Much earlier than the 16th December quoted

Ordered last weekend of August, buildweek was 44, dealer rang today to say car is in uk awaiting delivery to dealer.

I get the impression there are going to be a lot of white estate VRs (with black pack) on the road.

All the best for the Wednesday pick up, you wont be disappointed, I certainly am not.

Received confirmation today cherished plates now sorted and all should be well for collection on Friday!

 

The last 2wks waiting have been the worst FFS!!

 

 

 

BTW - Actually bought snow socks today for the new motor for anticipation of this big freeze in Jan/Feb!! Anybody any experience with them?

I had a pair on my Clio and got me out of a couple of jams, even up a hill that 4x4s were struggling with. Extremely good for the money, just be careful not to shred them on the road once clear and they should last at least a couple of seasons.

Let me know if your headlight washers play up. One of mine did, would sit flush with bumper after first use (only by a few mm) so I pushed it back in and it's been fine since.

Both of mine are doing it. Pushed them both back in a couple of times but hasn't helped.

Well how have the BW43s being getting on with their new toys over the last couple of weeks?

 

I've 1100miles done now so I would like to think its been 'broke in'...loving the sound in Sport mode ha ha!

 

Still enjoying the 'honeymoon period' and learning about all the functions yet...

 

No gripes (touch wood) but still the nearside washer sitting proud...(thought it had fixed itself but I was wrong)

 

Only thing I've got since was a rubber mat for the boot from SuperSkoda...still toying with the idea of mudflaps??
