Skoda UK have advised that my car is still sitting at Emden ...(well, as least its built )

Mines still at Emden according to SUK. Going to take 3 weeks to be delivered. Will enter at Sheerness according to them

My Elegance 1.4TSI was built week 43 and with so many VRS being built the same week you never know it might turn up as a VRS.

 

My car is also at Emden as of yesterdays system, but the Schedule Highway sailed to Grimsby and arrived this afternoon.

 

When are you week 43 build guys expecting to get your cars?

Realistically....probably end of month

Mine was BW 43, corrida red DSG. Confirmed as being on Uk soil this morning.

Mine is also red...maybe they mixed yours up with mine!!

I've been quoted 16th December since the start but could possibly be first week of December. I think end of month is more realistic. Order was placed 11th September, BW 44.

The ferry must be waiting on yours...cos mine is still sitting at Emden!

Properly p***ed off. Went to phone Skoda uk today only to be told they wouldn't tell me anything and to speak to the dealer.

Doesn't bode well, although they didn't take my order number or anything.

Very poor...I would write a formal complaint to SUK to express your dissatisfaction...as a paying customer you should expect a little more courtesy.

 

If they had a tracking system online we wouldn't have to pester them!!

There's a ferry arriving Sheerness tomorrow, Autoprestige I think, coming from Emden....maybe??

SUK told me it would arrive in Sheerness so they might be able to tell you but it's anyone's guess I think. I don't know how they organise it.

Looking at the map Grimsby is nearer and I presume the car will arrive at Grimsby.

It seems funny to me that my car was built 21st of October and by the end of the week it is sitting in Germany waiting for up to a month for a boat to get it to the UK.

Mine was ordered from Preston and is currently in Grimsby, or was yesterday anyway.

We are waiting for a Fabia, which was built week 43.

 

Spoke to skoda Uk today and they say its now on the boat to Grimsby with delivery to dealer by early next week.

lets hope so.

a ferry is currently in the humber heading to grimsby and another in the north sea heading to grimsby. hopefully our cars are on one of them!

I was told it could take up to three days to get the car off the boat and then another three days to transporter and away to dealer.

 

Now the Schedule Highway landed in Grimsby on Sunday afternoon, so by Wednesday the car should be off the ship and by Monday next week on its way to the dealers.

 

With a bit of luck I should be able to collect the car next weekend.

since the Schelde highway landed on Sunday afternoon I'm pretty sure it's been back to Emden loaded up and is now nearly back at Grimsby!

SBN you are correct the Schelde Highway is on its way back to Grimsby and could be in port now. I now wonder if left Emden means in UK or in UK means in UK - suspicious mind.

Posted before, but my car was built & 3 weeks later had only made it to Emden. A further 2 weeks & it was at dealers. The waiting is horrible, but now a month in my hands all that is forgotten. The wait for me was worth it - hope the same goes for those patiently waiting.

I hope so and its not a case that the 'chase is better that the catch'...saying that I'm not really enjoying the 'chase'!!
