Window Half Opening

Featured Replies

Indeed if the battery has been disconnected the windows will need resetting. If they have not been reset then the global window closing will not work, and because of this the mirrors will not fold in using the remote either.

Hmmm... I fitted some Heko deflectors just half an hour ago.

Passenger side... no problem.

Driver's side, the auto detect kicks in as the window clips the deflector (just) at the rear corner. Enough that the window rebounds every time.

If I apply the very slightest pressure with my hand on the outside of the window as it is closing then all is fine. Which isn't at all practical in real time use!

Damn.

It has been mentioned that a strip of felt was fitted to "cure" a similar problem

it probably does the pressure of the hand job to help locate the moving window

Cough!

You've replied to a thread 3 years old.

Coincidentally I started a not dissimilar topic about the time this thread livened up again (See Magical dancing windows)

I had a couple of useful replies (thanks again guys) but my query / concern remains, did the re-set permanently fix the problem?
