"Fluttering" Build Weeks

Featured Replies

What does 'build week' mean? Is it the same as week number where 1-6th Jan is week 1, 7-13th Jan is week 2 and so on?

  • We officially placed the order on the 26th September so it's come round quicker than expected. We opted for the 16 white serpens 5dr with stainless steel kick plates, and front and rear mudflaps.

  • Well we've picked it up, its a red 5 door with front and rear mudflaps, aluminium door guards, and a spare wheel, the dealer knocked off £250 off the price and included a free spare wheel, plus when t

Thanks for the advice, I spoke to Skoda CS today and have been given Build week 6 so I will have to be patient a while longer and probably wait for the March reg.

In the meantime I will have to stop reading all the great things that people are saying about their cars - it makes the waiting that much harder!

Had a phone call today and mine is getting built this week. Said it won't be shipped to end of month, weather depending. I'm thinking of just holding off and getting them to register it as a march 1st car.

  • 3 weeks later...

Still no confirmed build date but latest estimate has slipped from wk8 to wk10.

Ordered in early Sept estimated delivery mid April.

7 months waiting for a 5dr Elegance model seems longer than any one else on this forum!

My dealer has raised an official complaint through Skoda UK and told me to expect a case officer to call me very shortly...

What would you ask for?!

That doesn't sound right, Nick. I ordered my five door Elegance on 8th October and it was built last week.

What, if any, extras did you specify?

What would you ask for?!

1.2 TSi engine fitted? :D

Have you specced a spare wheel?

That's something you could ask for if not

That's the thing. All pretty stock. 5dr Elegance in Candy White with the slightly better music system (the 'entertainment pack'), the full size spare wheel, and 'luxury carpet mats' and the raised boot floor was to be fitted by the dealer.

Order placed 6th September - est build wk10...

I reckon one of you lot has got my car ;)

Pretty much the same as mine apart from the colour. Most odd.

So, to join in the fun! Hello, hello!!

I'm new to the forum, and you all look like a great bunch to get in contact with. Loads of good advice!!

Just placed my order, 75 elegance, 5 door, summer, style 2, entertainment, safety and convenience, in white. Oh, and a variable load liner. Expected lead time 4 months! Free carpet mats. Whoop de do.

Might be ready for the 15 plate given some of the posts here!!

I'll keep you up to date, but I'll not order my briskoda sticker just yet! Might be tempting fate.........!!!

Welcome to the forum :)

Sounds a nice car your getting

Enjoy the car when you eventually get it, and the site in the meantime

Cheers Damo. Looking forward to reading and contributing. Keep up the good work and the excellent forum.

Just ordered a Citigo SE in Metallic Blue with Small Leather and Entertainment Packs, not been given a build week yet but dealer said 3-4 months. How long after your order were you given a build week?

The car is for the wife who is currently using my Ibiza TSi whilst I drive her 10 year old 307 (she must be obeyed after all). We looked at the Mii which would have been available much sooner, but it looks terrible compared to the Citigo, and the 0% finance closed the deal.

my car was ordered on the 6th Nov, on business contract hire.

i have been given build week 6.

so that's seems to be the average 16 weeks.

Roll on March and my new '14' plate CitiGo SE GreenTech.

Now been told its being built next week

Ordered mine 8th December and have been given an unconfirmed build week of 18. That's the end of April :( so in looking at at late may/June delivery. Was originally told 8 weeks haha, whoops.

I'd say you're looking at early to mid May for delivery.

my car was ordered on the 6th Nov, on business contract hire.

Roll on March and my new '14' plate CitiGo SE GreenTech.

My car is now in this country, so its going to be 17 or 18 weeks. The only option specified, Spare Wheel. Model SE Greentech 3 door in Red.

I ordered my sport Mid Jan and been told as I'm getting one of the last sports it will be 'later than expected' no date yet. Originally told it would be late March early April.

Just realised this week is finally Build Week 11. Dealer also confirmed our Citigo is being built and should expect to pick it up early April.

Anyone else also expecting their Citigo to be built this week?

I understand that mine (well my wife's) will be built week 11.

Spring green 5dr elegance, ivory interior, asg, convenience pack, entertainment pack, summer pack, spare wheel, variable floor.

It's built :)

Just found out our Citigo is at status 38.

Finally got my build week for my sport week 18 I ordered mid Jan

Mine's built and on it's way - woohoo!

Just got off the phone to Skoda UK and they mention the car is on the ferry and should be arriving to the UK tomorrow.

So I did a quick check and I see a ship/vessel called African Highway has left Emden today and expected in Grimsby tomorrow morning.

I'm guess our Citigo is on there - http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/details/ships/353633000

All going well it should be at the dealers in a weeks time. Can't wait!!!

  • 3 weeks later...

Collecting my citigo SE on Thursday (17 Apr), ordered it Week 6, so that is 10 weeks from order to delivery for a built to order.  Looking back, it has not been too bad, the dealer has kept me informed and there has been no hassle.
