Sub power to battery?

Featured Replies

Hi, wondering if anyone can help me out. I'v just brought a sub including all the wires ect to fit on my fabia. Before I start I was wondering if there is a easy way without drilling/bodging to get the sub power cable from inside the car to the battery???

Any help would be great! Also pics would help as I have no idea :/

Yep down behind/next to the glovebox you will see a hole cant remember exactly where..feed it through there and it will appear in the top right area of the engine bay then just connect to the battery :)

Also you may have to pull back some of the plastic trim around that area

Sounds like you may be pushing the wire down one of the drain holes.

You want to go from the inside of the car out from what tomgtturbo said

On the passenger side there is a bung where the bonnet release would normally run on LHD cars. Lift the scuttle panel up and remove the bung then you can feed a cable through and it will come out behind the glovebox. You will need to move some of the soundproofing out the way to find the cable when its been pushed through. You need to go from outside to inside otherwise you'll struggle to find the hole inside.

Shame i can't find any pictures of it.

Was struggling finally found the hole -.- Anyone knows why that black  pipe leads from interior into the engine bay ? it looks useless

Don't think that's the intended hole (but it'll do). Black pipe is rear screenwash feed I think.

Got a fuse at the battery end of your wire?

that pipe is cut off  Was looking at it couldn't really see anything . was scared to pull it out didn't know whats that and yes just installed it today.

I presume your rear washer doesn't work then?

I didn't disconnect it thats why I didn't know where it's that from. you was right it was a screen wash pipe just got abit confused.
