Octavia vRS limited edition questions/issues

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I took possession of a 2009 Octavia vRS Limited Edition today, and I have a couple of questions I could do with some help with please.

1) The back window appears to take longer than I thought it would to clear the condensation, is this normal? (The built in wires appear to be working)

2) I have a condensation build up in both front light clusters, all the way across the bottom, again is this normal?

I ask these questions as also feel that the recent change in weather might be to blame, so don't want to go back to the garage shouting the odds without looking into it first.

Thanks in advance.

1) When was the pollen filter last changed? If it's over 2 years ago, that will make a difference.

2) It probably suggests the glass seals are going.

That time of  the year again now sadly.

I've noticed on the Octy, that when it rains, the front screen soon mists up IF the air con isn't on, regardless as to when and how long ago it was last used, and the sooner front screens are heated like back ones, as standard equipment, the better.

Absolutely amazes me that a major safety adding feature is still an optional extra for many cars, yet you get stupid non essential auto wipers, auto dipping mirrors and headlights for the physically challenged, fitted as standard!

Thanks for the replies guys.

Has my Octy 3 days now, and don't actually know how I've managed with out one in the past. It's paradise.
