5x100 Subaru wheels for my Skoda?! Help :)

Featured Replies

Got some Subaru classic silver wheels pcd 5 x100 16" from an old car sat in the shed, figured they would fit on my Skoda Fabia mk1. At the moment I have 5x100 14" genuine Skoda wheels fitted. However just went to put then on and cant get over hub, out by about 2mm. Am I just being completely dumb? Help, very much appreciated :)

Pretty sure the offset is quite different on Subaru wheels so you may need spacers to make them fit. Also, is the centre bore bigger? If so, you'll need spigot rings too.

The centre hole on a Subaru wheel is slightly smaller than you stander wheel, you can get a machine shop to make them bigger the offset will fit, this is a cheap way to get some light wheels as Subaru wheels are super light (some of them) and abundant.

the Subaru is a 56.1mm bore instead of the 57.1, I only know this as i have Subaru OZ Racing 5 spokes on my Monte. A friendly machine shop (one of my dad friends) did it for me. now nice and snug

Would like to see pics as I also have considered Scooby wheels as there are loads of cheap ones around!

Ah the good old 1mm lathe thing lol. Comes up very often when people think stud pattern alone is how wheels fit. :D

Here you go, divided some of the members, but it's your car, what works for you!

Brilliant guys thank you! I wil be having my scooby wheels made to fit :)

Whilst rotating tyres on mine and after having swapped wheels on my Father's old Impreza, I wondered what his wheels would look like on mine.

It is a Standard Subaru 16 inch wheel, with a larger 205/55 Goodyear Ultragrip 8 winter tyre on. For summer he uses 15" Gold Speedlines with 205/55 15 tyres.

Unfortunately the Subaru ones won't fit. The main problem is the centre hole is about 1 mm too small so won't go onto the Skoda Hub. It has the same 5 x 100 mm PCD but the wheel nuts are also bigger, (uses a 19 mm socket and ours are 17).

As you can see the pic I too, my car was on a jack, with the Skoda wheel off and the Subaru wheel was lent against it (the crate and torque wrench holding it up).

It's EXACTLY 1mm too small :D   56.1mm VS 57.1.
