Well done guys! How did you manage?

  • Author

Could you see staples around the edge of yours? We pulled the staples out then the headlights opened with a hairdryer very easily :)

Yes I do remember. First thing I took off. Still the headlight gave me a hard time. Why? Damn.

  • Author

Must be different glue? These come open relatively easy, and that's using just a hairdryer!

You are a 100% they are Hellas? They have the marking? I have a pair and now with what you are telling me I'm tempted to try the heatgun again.

Oh I will not open them now - coming spring I want to re-paint the front and rear bumper. After 4 years they have issues. Especially the front that is like the moon surface from rock chips. Then it will be the best time to do the headlights.

Good progress with yours - did you go for a mat finish?

  • Author

More of a glossy finish, they're still wet at the minute, giving them a couple layers. Will get them back together tomorrow :)

How much light output have you lost?

How much light output have you lost?

He will not lose anything - the projectors don't take advantage of the reflectors inside the unit. Same thing with Monte Carlo headlights.

TheBoyArmitage I suggest you re-check your work on the headlights - I have a suspicion you might have condensation issues from what I'm seeing on the left headlight.
