Repaired after 3 1/2 months

Featured Replies

Finally got Beastie back from the bodyshop on Friday after waiting for 3 months to sort my 3rd party claim against a driver who sideswiped me then didn't stop.

My local bodyshop did a fantastic job, I'll post some images when I get time.

But the best bit was the guy who didn't stop was insured, fortunately, but as he refused all contact with his insurers, he won't be offered a renewal and in all likelyhood will now be blacklisted, so making it almost impossible to get car insurance. Technically this is schadenfreude on my behalf, but I see it as getting feckwits off the road.

I didn't get mad (somewhat annoyed, yes) I got even.

Really pleased your car is back and repaired.

I do fear it may be another uninsured driver on the road.

I had no idea there was a blacklist. I await comments on this thread with interest.

All motor insurance proposals ask "have you ever been refused insurance" If you answer untruthfully you would risk any claim being rejected. There is a fraud database where insurers share their experiences and can act on the information shared in setting rates or declining to offer cover.
