Crazy pricing

Featured Replies

Superb lease up in 5 months and submitted paperwork for 3 quotes I am allowed today. Downsizing to save cash, but had to move from Skoda as homework online says Monte !.6D about £50pm mpre expensive than Audi A1 with similar spec despite Audi list price being over £2k more than Fabia- madness :wall:

Thats about right on the figures they use on the residuals  they recon of the future value of the Audi, and not on the Skoda.

List prices are one thing when looking at a lease, but Skoda are always discounting actual prices paid with cash money

and that reflects in residuals,

Never going to be a shortage of Fabias used in 3 years time, or a high demand.

& a new mk3 comes out next year.

To be only £2000 list more, if you are looking at a 1.6 TDI 105ps it must be a 3 door.

I have been recently test driving a lot of cars and these are the deals I have been offered -

Monte Carlo tech 1.2psi - £158 ( a month )

Abarth 500- £215

fabia vrs - £225

Swift sport - £215

1 series BMW 1.6 sport - £230

Audi a1 122 sport - £209

Ibiza fr 1.2tsi 105 - £180

All were with a £2000 deposit, with 10k miles a year and a 3 1/2 year lease.

In the end I ordered the monte as insurance is considerably cheaper than the A1 (which was my favourite) but this is only significantly more to insure due to me being 18. The Monte was also the best specced.

That's a good quote on a 1.6 Turbo BMW, would have been my choice but really needs the 8 speed auto due to the offset clutch pedal and a few toys so you are soon up to £300.

Yeah I know, but the insurance was considerably more on the BMW, I would have ended up paying nearly £200 a month more (due to car costing more and insurance being crazy), it's frustrating cause I can afford the car, just the insurance is O.T.T due to my age.

And yes, I found the clutch pedal very odd at first, my shoe kept getting caught on the foot rest also.. I'm not sure how..

Yep it's a shame, my wife pays £238 insurance for the year for the BMW. Our Fabia 1.2TSi is £188 so not much difference.

Passat is nearly £300 but insured for 20k miles a year.

Joys of being in your 40's.

For the BMW it would have cost me...£1600, where as the Fabia is £1000. So they fabia it was haha
