Looks fine to me, did you clean it yourself? Is the intake manifold clean ? It can gum up as well.

No harm in cleaning it. Would b better if u did a EGR delete tho:)

Doesn't look too bad. Seen worse but no harm in giving it a clean.

I assume you have an ASZ PD130? If so then clean the EGR and get someone with VCDS to turn down the EGR duty cycle. You have a little leak by the looks of it so turning how much the EGR opens should help things.

That's what I did on my Cordoba PD130 and all was well.

No - haven't cleaned it, just working out weather it needs it, haven't checked the intake yet.

Any benefits of doing this? How much would it cost?

True, got some times on my hands so might as well clean it up. I do indeed have the ASZ PD130.

What is the EGR Duty cycle and what are the benefits of turning it down?

Thanks for the replies guys.

It basically is the amount of exhaust gasses the engine will draw through the EGR. So turning it down will result in the EGR opening less and the engine using more fress air rather than sooty exhaust gasses.
