The next Fabia?

Featured Replies

PRAGUE (AFX) - Volkswagen AG's Czech unit Skoda Auto will launch a successor to

its compact Fabia saloon next summer, a year earlier than expected, the weekly

Ekonom reported today.

The Fabia is Skoda's most popular car.

The development of the new car is "practically finished", and the launch of mass

production is in "technical preparation", the weekly said, without citing a

source.

Pretty nasty really, although it has moved the Fabia styling on a generation... but is it just me that thinks '1 series' from looking at the front end?

i cant find it on that page!!!

I can see the 1 series connection - think it's in the headlights.

If the new model is imminent, wonder what it'll do for current Fabia sales. Everyone buy now because the new model looks kak, or hold fire - current models will be heavily devalued in 3 years time?

Let's just pray that what we've seen here is'nt the fully developed version!

I think I like it better than current fabia, but that may just be because I have a polo.. like it better than the new polo actually, it looks actually a bit wider or maybe it's the wheels..

I can't see any pictures on that page.

Can someone copy them into this thread please

They removed the picture from that page which could mean that it was just a PS and had nothing to do with the real Fabia II :)

Yeah, it was in Autoexpress a few weeks back. It was neither an official photo or spyshot. I don't suppose we will see the real thing until a few weeks before it is launched in normal Skoda style.

The colour doesn't really help, reminds me of a 1970's public toilet with those little blue tiles....

i like it, much better than the current one. wonder what the vrs will look like??

You are on the wrong forum

Looks pretty awful IMHO. Same as most modern cars then :D

Its no where near as good looking as the current Fabia, especially the v/RS :D

thats no way the new fabia, thats a nasty photochoped yeti onto a old mk1 fabia pic, dame doors...and lower air dam! yuk yuk yuk :thumbdwn: i recon it will be a lot sleeker, lower, wider and much more YUM :)

Aye, you are probably right

No no, stick to your opinion, sod them :D

:rofl:I'll resurrect this thread when the new cars launched and see you all grovelling..... "ooh its not not as bad as I thought..." "actually its pretty good...." "I never said I didn't like it..."

Either that or Briskoda :orb_not_w will be pretty much deserted....

:feedtrol:

Well I believe this is the new skoda image like it or not.. I believe the preview will be closer to truth than you think. Take a look at the new octavia for example..

Anyway I don't like the new polo as I own the old model, at the same time a lot of people are buying the new polo now that it looks more "serious".. maybe I have too much of a girly taste (eeek??)..

I can't find the pic anywhere - HELP!
