No power when cold problem sorted.

Featured Replies

Hi, just a quick bit of info on my lack of power issue. The only code it threw up was the pressure differential sensor on the dpf. Had that removed as it seemed a probable cause only to have the same fault. Had the car read again with a low boost pressure code. This eventually turned out to be a split diaphragm on a vacuum hose to the rocker cover. One new rocker cover later and all is well again. Hope this may help someone in the future.

Thanks for posting the resolution - may be useful in the future for someone!

Maybe. I realise it could have been a number of things, but if someone had told me that the car kept going to limp home mode because it needed a new rocker then I wouldn't have believed em.

Glad you finally got it sorted and can get back to being happy with DPF removal and remap.

Yes, I'm glad I had it removed even though that didn't turn out to be the real cause. I don't have to drive it down the motorway for no reason like the vauxhall and Nissan dealers have told two blokes at work to do with their diesels. Only notice it when I reverse through my exhaust fumes when parking. Fingers crossed for the mot emissions test in eleven months.

It should be fine, and I'd be surprised it doesn't fast pass straight away. Important thing for diesels and emissions tests is to take it to the MOT station warmed up.

Cheers

Steve
