Felicia electric window wiring

Featured Replies

what is writing on the motor regulator?

I need to identify it properly in order to assess if it has any 'intelligence' built in.

like knowing how long you pressed on switch

or when the end of the travel is reached.

even better, take 2 photos in daylight

one as overview and one showing the label on the motor.

Hi there, sorry for not getting in touch sooner, I have been working away from home for some weeks.  I have attached some photo's of the electric window regulator/motor.  You can not see the info on the motor body too clearly though.  The photo's of the window switches are in a earlier post on this topic.

Hope you are well, I have something I would like to mail to you as a thank you for all your help, is that ok with you?

With thanks Mark.

OK, what you have in there is a FS578VA motor/latch actuator.

it is commonly used as a trunk lid lock latch actuator.

basically it is a DC motor that senses the end of travel when its DC current is bigger than a certain threshold.

that explains why there are only 2 wires to control it.

having the electric window switch pins identified correctly in your previous post, you can proceed to wiring with no worries.

the only unknown was how to get a fused +12V.

the photo below is self explanatory.

do not use one wire to supply 12V to both switches, you'll overload the circuit when both electric windows are raised/lowered the same time.

Hi there every one, does any one know where the electric windows on a Felicia take their live feed from in the fuse box.  I want to wire them as Skoda did on the special edition Felicia's that came with front electric windows. Fuse 18 on my fuse box is not assigned and on taking the fuse box apart, there are no feeds to and from fuse 18. Or can any body advise me where to take the two live feeds from in the fuse box, it has to be a live switched by the ignition switch though.

Thanks Mark.

On the green plug marked above feed and switched live come from the other green plug connect to the red black one there... that's how my skoda window kit connects. I just changed mine so the switchs only light up with side lights now...

Many thanks RicardoM, am I correct in that, that is a 30amp feed?

Thank you uma1998, this clears up the mystery for me.

Why would you want to power the windows only with ignition key on? That's not how Skoda Felicia was designed and for good reason. The passenger(s) should be able to roll his window up/down without the driver having to let the car key inserted in ignition lock and turned to on. Not to mention the dangerous scenario when the car crashes into a river/lake, the doors are stuck and people need to open the window fast to get out before drowning. Power windows circuit gets battery voltage through fuse 18 all the time, no ignition key involved.

Because in my window kit from skoda came with a relay that gets its power feed from the one you said 30 amp fuse 19 marked by urself and then gets switched on by be black/red wire in the next green plug. And my windows go up when I lock my doors thanks to a window closer module...

Hello, anyone here who knows more about Siemens power window units, used in 98+ Felicia?

I'm now preparing fitting windows to my car. As my car had these windows before, I don't have problems with wiring.

What I'm wondering about is, which functions are available with siemens unit beside standart used in Felicia? I'm asking because there are 5 wires connected to car (positive, negative, switch, ignition and doors), but when I unplug connector, which is connected right into motor, there are 5 more pins, which are unused. Anyone is able to post pinout of this connector? Is it possible that 98 Audi A4 has same electronics, as it seems to have same connector on motor? thanks for answers

Did you check on Google using the code of the motor? You might find its datasheet.

I did, but without succes..
