Hi guys

Popped in my local post office the other day to send some letters, came out, got back in my car and saw my wing mirror had been knocked forward and the glass was smashed and hanging on by one wire. Absolutely livid.

Now, incase there aren't mk1 octavias at my local breakers, does any one know what other cars in the vag range it shares its mirrors with?

Try ebay, I replaced the glass on SWMBO A class for about £10 from the bay.

As above, Ebay + £8 and you can get them. They fit great although the heated wires are a tad loose on the replacement I got the other week.

Golf Mk4 one will fit, but I think may well be tinted slightly blue...

Yes I used to race RC at clanfield 5 or 6 years ago. Do you still go? I got fed up with spending all my money on it...too expensive for a teenager! It's taken a long time for me to make the switch to wrenching a proper car but I'm slowly getting there.

 

I Think someone in Portsmouth has it out for Octavias....what happened to you sounds identical to me but in my street.

Tom, no, I stopped nitro a few years ago and went back to 1/10 electric, but nitro is coming round again, what with that and helicopters, I've alot on my plate lol. How are you enjoying the VAG family?

Not bad, It's my first car! It's been an interesting experience...Originally wanted a VRS but insurance on one of those at 20/21 was kind of horrific. Keeping myself satisfied with maintenance at the moment, car has 121k on the clock so all the bushings are suitably worn and the bolts nicely rusted in place. 

 

Where do you do 1/10th? I 3-4 years ago a place in Portchester that has a track, looked interesting.
