The dirty car thread. Winter 2013

Featured Replies

I've been letting the Fabia continue to get filthy.  I've been thinking about upgrading headlight bulbs though as I do a lot of motorway miles in the dark at the moment.  A friend suggested cleaning my headlights, so I have using white vinegar.  I used a light blue cloth which is now a dark brown colour, and it seems my headlights actually light the road ahead now.

The rest of the car is still filthy though :)

Have a seach for Devonutopia's guide for polishing headlights. It may be on FB though, which won't help

How are they all so sooty? I've got no EGR, no cat and custom map etc and never get a sooty rear.

I will do some more driving :bandit:

I'll get a picture tomorrow although brimma's looks much dirtier than my little fabia

OK I know I posted pics of mine in an unrelated thread elsewhere, but here's my contribution after a single run with a newly washed car from Whitby to Scarborough and back!

Mike

Are dirt tracks used as roads up north or something.

The fabia looked cleaner earlier (it rained)

I got stuck in the mud....
