Getting blood off the upholstery

Featured Replies

Morning,

Due to a moment's inattention I have left blood on a seat* and so far am having a hell of a job to get it out (paraphrasing Baldrick :)  )

So, has anyone got any ideas on good dried blood removers please? Cold water, vanish and the normal car upholstrery cleaning spray have all failed so far :(

(*and no I was not carelessly murdering hikers)

Thanks

Matt

Forgotten about those....Thanks

*saunters off to local iron mongers...*

hydrogen peroxide will deal with DNA residue better than bleach :bandit:

Yea sure, it was an accident....

Last resort, dye the seats red. ;)

Buy a new seat, take the old seat out in to woods & burn it then bury the remains then pay a homeless man to say you were with him all night

Nuke it from orbit....it's the only way.

You want Blood Buster. It's an enzyme based remover

caustic soda with a kitchen scourer will shift it

I've a portable freezer and a heavy duty wood chipper if you need it, mates rates to you.

but you deal with the teeth yourself :bandit:

I hope it was worth it!

I suggest you refrain from picking your nose in the car to prevent the nose bleeds.

So, did you know saliva will easily remove blood?  You could try to remove the blood with said saliva and then use a proprietary upholstery cleaner to remove the saliva

You can get some saliva from this dog.

sounds like you to need call someone who gets **** done

You could try a steam cleaner. I don't know how well it would work but it could be worth a try

If you still have any parts of the body left, I live near a pig farm

I think steam would probably 'cook' the stain.

You should always deal with stains with cold water..

(Dear local Constabule, please note that any recent incidences of the dissapearance of people, a dark blue Octavia, and charred remains found dumped in woodlands are nothing to do with me.)

That bunny was as Godstone RSCPA for rehoming, I was taking its picture IIRC.

Our bunnies usually leave hay in the car.
