Rust and under body sealing

Featured Replies

Ok this doesn't relate to my octy directly but it does also need something. The RX300 has just had its mot (2 drop links and front pads) but one of the advisories is for underbody rust. Had a read around and came across rust.co.uk who seem to specialise it classic restorations and 4x4's. Is £480 reasonable for a full 2 day clean, chemical rust change and under seal? If it was summer I might be tempted to do myself but if it takes them 2 days with the right equipment then I would by looking at 2 weeks :D

Its a 2003 first of the new shape. Its a keeper so don't mind spending on it but would like to know if anyone has used similar service

£480 sounds fairly normal; depends how good a job they do though.  Shouldn't take two days though, unless they've not got an oven to dry the car.  Personally though, I'd go here:  http://www.before-n-after.co.uk/  Yes, the website's not amazing but don't let that bother you.  They've been going for years and are very big in the Land Rover world, loads of people use them and I've heard plenty of good things about them.  They do a pick-up and drop off service with a courtesy car, too.  When I get a Land Rover eventually, that'll be my first port of call.

Normally I would but it's the wrong time of year for that kind of work on the drive. Like the idea of a couple of days away from the kids too :D
