Chrome on Android issue - battery issue

Featured Replies

Over the last couple of days I have been having problems with Chrome on my S4, while browsing the phone will turn itself off and then not get further than the startup screen, the only way to get the phone started is to remove the battery for a bit.
Anyone else had a similar issue, I'm currently using the standard browser without issue.

I'm using Chrome on Android - HTC one, but all seems fine for me.

Can you not log/use the developer tools to have a look and see if anythings happening, and report the issue to Google?

no dramas here, have you tried going into app manager in settings and clearing cache and data for the app?

Cheers guys, I've deleted the updates and seems to be working, I'll try reinstalling the updates and go from there.

Quick update, it turns out that the fault occurring when using Chrome was purely coincidental, after searching Google and speaking to my network provider it turns out I have a faulty battery, this is quite a common fault apparently and is down to a bad batch of batteries manufactured in Germany.

So new battery is on it's way, should be good as new
