Fabia vRS mk 2 tyres (non-winter)

Featured Replies

Hi,

What is the general opinion on tyres for the Fabia vRS mk 2. I've had mine just over 1 year and have a few thousand km left on my first set (Dunlops, I forget the model). I'd like to have a look for some replacements now as some tyre places are having a sale here.

Cheers

James

The dunlops suck, disregarding winter , I would reccomend maxxis Z1's

Dunlops are ace but go Maxxis Z1s next... they rule

were you drunk when you wrote that Damo?! lol....

What tyres were you running on that dyno when they kept skipping? I would avoid toyo proxy 4's. They were very very soft and would lock up, squeak and ultimately loose traction and cause you to die if you ever hammered on the brakes. I suffered two punctures so I got them put on the front, to keep the treads the same on each axle but quickly swapped them to the back as under braking they would tend to squeal compared to the dunlops that came as standard. I hear good things about Federal's and the ever impressive Uniroyal Rainsports

me? nangkang winters, I had just bought a set of wheels with the maxxis on, thats what I changed to tomake the dyno work! lol..

Ah yes I remember now. It was very cold in that wee garage! Even with the turbo's glowing red.

I'm running Michelin Pilot Sport 3's and will be buying two more for the back shortly. Not cheap but the best tyre I've ever run. Almost too much grip for the car

never tried them martyn, but a few people swear by them that I know :)

Fantastic tyres, just a shame they're so damned expensive.

Im running avon zz5's on the front. The dealer put them on in the deal and to be honest they stick to the road like s### to a blanket. Very impressed!
