Seems a good deal, but if I were you I'd make every effort to get it fitted. I fitted a similar camera (boot release) to my Octy vRS & it was plain sailing, and such a useful add-on. I'm sure there's someone around M/c that could help.

Yes it's a direct replacement for the fabia 1 number plate light. It comes with an led incorporated so you don't lose the light on that side.

It does have the lines on it to help judge distance. It this yellow video cable to plug into the back of your Headunit.

Yes but rear cameras come in two forms I believe, mirror image and sometimes a flipped image where what your seeing is the opposite i.e left is right etc.

Hi, sorry to be asking a daft laddy question but when you say the headunit screen are you saying it's compatible with the standard Symphony unit?  I might be interested if so, but if it means that i have to change my headunit, count me out.
