How often do you wash your CitiGo

Featured Replies

Hi I'm not sure if this has been posted before, but here goes........

How many of us are OCD when it comes to keeping there CitiGO clean and what do you use.

Every week for mine hosing down first then the 2 bucket method using Autoglym products for washing and for the protection and polishing I use Armorall shield wax for the body and for the alloys Amorall shield for the wheels.

2 wash mits one for the body the other for the wheels with a micro fibre towel and a chamois leather for the glass

Plus I snow foam every other month.

Similar to my regime mate

I don't use snow foam as often as that though, maybe 3 times a year before re-applying sealant and wax

Citigo is a doddle to clean compared to my previous cars with it being so small :D

Every week for me,agree about how quick and easy the Citigo is to wash and the alloys are are an easy job as well.

I wish I had more time :-( lol new baby etc.....cleaned it once since I got it in September....whoops!!! If I had my way it would be every week lol although it's not actually that dirty only doing 12m a day!

I've never, ever washed a car or van I've owned as they've never really been worth the effort. The Citigo will be my first brand new car though so I may have to change my ways.

Not often enough at the moment :(

In recent years my cars have usually been valeted at their annual services, so I generally give them a quick wash just before the service, as I don't want the dealer to think that I'm the sort of person who doesn't keep his car clean.

Having said that, I gave the Citigo a good clean last week, and it looked immaculate. Unfortunately I got caught in a dramatic rain storm a couple of days later, and it's now dirtier than it was before I washed it. What a complete waste of time!  :S

Like to do it every week, but this time of year, with dwindling daylight in which to get it done limits me to busy weekends, so it's once a month at the moment. I've got a good coat of Meguairs sealant on so the dirt just falls off really, which is nice.

I do it once a week and it's not even mine!!

I Think the neighbours think I'm a bit special washing in rain and poor light lol.

If I'm feeling lazy I just soak it in Citrus Prewash and rinse as the poor boys is holding up well!

Our poor Citigo has only been washed 4 times in 9 months.

You cruel cruel man...

Im going to contact the RSPCC...

Let them know how you've mistreated it!

When we have the national Citigo meet. I will look forward to you OCD cleaners showing me the error of my way's. You can take our beloved Citygo and giving it some much needed TLC.

It's the better half’s car. with my two boys both using it as well. I just get told when things don't work e.g. washers not working because there is no screen wash in the bottle? or more commonly very low fuel

what the hell is snow foam???!!!

I always have my cars detailed so they have a good coat of polish.

That way you can run them through a hand car wash without worrying about them marking it and it comes out fab.

Rather quicker than snowfoam and two buckets. :)

When I sold the Citigo it looked better than when I got it!

Unfortunately I will admit it has been over 2 months since i last washed my Citigo!

It has barely been used since i have been walking to work and as its not garaged, it built up quite a substantial amount of dirt.

I try and do it every week, don't like a dirty car. 2 bucket method for me, had to break out the polish for the first few tar spots last week grrr. I really want to get a good coat of high end wax on it but just don't have time at the moment.

Mines really bad at the moment. Whole of the back of the car is thick black except a half moon where I've used the wiper :(

Mine's red and hasn't been washed for many, many weeks. Strange thing...the bonnet, roof and front wings are clean and the sides are cleanish too. The back, however, is a disgrace (as above). I've never owned a car that gets it's rear end so filthy...big disadvantage of having the rear wheels that far back!

Mine is 6 days old and I washed it. Two bucket method, wanted to get some wax on really, but family life robbed me of time!

Over 3 weeks since I last washed it, suns out today so I might get the pressure wash onto it  :)
