New Fabia Vrs...

Featured Replies

Am just toying with the idea of changing the wifes Fabia 1.9sdi for the fab vrs, and was just wondering if anyone has ordered one yet i.e. who is going to be the first briskoda.net memeber to own one. Or have I missed a post and someone (abroad?) has already got one? Also wonder how much off the list price the dealers will go? People have been picking up the Octy vrs for round the 14k mark, which makes me wonder if there might be 1k in fabia rs list price for the dealers to haggle with. Am just going to speak to my dealer to see what he has to say.

Damo

Just make sure you sound really hesitant as you already have a diesel fabia, get him to talk you round :D

Can't see you getting a discount if you roll into the dealership begging to buy one! :)

WOW - going from a 70HP SDI - to a 130HP vRS - not a bad upgrade. Mine will only be a 30BHP increase, if I got it, so the grin will only be half of what your's would be, Damo.

Thank for Lord for turbo's!

Have you decided if you're going to go for it or not, J?

Still undecided. Money is something I respect, and have not got enough to just splurge out on a new car, again. I'll firstly go for the test-drive, get some figures about my car's value, which I suspect will not be very much at all unfortunately, and then make a decision.

I'm still relying on the remapping route soon'ish, and I can always look into the tarty vRS bodykit some other time. I wouldn't think it will be a terribly expensive mod...? I can myself keeping my car for a while yet. I've grown kind of attached to it. :)

True - if you went for a remap, lowering springs (finally) and maybe got your dealer to fit some parts from the FabvRS, you wouldn't be far off anyway :)

The parcel people tried to deliver my eibachs today, but left a goddamn note in the porch instead. Have rung them to re-deliver some time soon. Anyway, I don't want them fitted before I get my lock done, so the garage can't find out, at least not yet. :D

Damo,

I started the topic called Fabia vRS last week and raised some of your points. My interest is for the wife also. I have reserved a silver one on the basis of having a demo first before we buy. My main concern is the diesel noise, however the rest of the package looks great.

Chris

Good choice = silver. Personal favourite colour!

I think a simple cost-analysis is needed.

My car, 2001 Y TDI 40K miles = sod all value, perhaps

Keep yours a few more years Jason and wait until the fab vrs is on the 2nd user market. Much more economical :D

Good point, Q - My TDI may be getting more and more worthless, but the more it depreciates the less actual

 Roll on 20/9/03

i am in same boat as you jason my car is not worth enough to trade in and buy the fabia vRS also my age is issue (any one know what insurance grp the Vrs is?).

however i think i am going to gvie it a year and buy a tdi elegance and get it jabba'd.

this way i get similar car and performance but without the massive insurance increase for tarty seats and a body kit.

also what spec is your fab any chance of a cash trade for your wheel trims?

wheel trims? You mean the alloys? If you do mean the actual wheels, if, and it's a huge IF, I get a vRS, my current alloys will be going on to the new car. This does mean I'll have 4 16" vRS alloys to sell though...

sorry to add confusion i mean pre the current alloys
