  • More Audi A3 if you ask me

  • Sorry. I think the constant stream of people going out of their way to make ridiculous, unrealistic comments about the Rapid is wearing me down.   I have had more positive comments about the Rapid t

  • Someone needs to inform them that the UK is actually part of Europe! :(

Just been looking at the blue one on ebay.

Looks very nice in that colour with the 'non' UK wheels.  It does seem to sit high though.

The price at £20,495 is steep but I guess a good discount is available.

I'm sorry but nice enough as it is you would need your head read to spend that kind of money on a Rapid.

Those wheels are available from UK Skoda dealers part no 5JA071497JX2.

Car needs to be lowered though to carry the styling.

Looks like the black one above might be lowered?

Pleased to see some dealers have had the foresight to fit the big wheels, but why on earth they're not on the options list yet I don't know. Even on the blue on not lowered they transform the look of the car.

Does anyone know why the space back is more expensive than the rapid when it is a smaller car....?

Same reason that a Golf is more expensive than a Golf Plus.

Marketing and desirability.  Simples; eek!

PS>  It makes the regular Rapid, which is only a whisker smaller than a Mk II Octavia exceptionally good value.

I'd rather have the extra mobey . I can keep it all in my bigger boot. :-)

The Spaceback does have slightly better spec vs. the equivalent "liftback"

Had a look at a couple of Spacebacks in the dealers showroom yesterday when dropping the Monte in for its first service. They had 2, one on skinny wheels&tire and a 4x4 stance and the other in a nice blue metallic with bigger wheels and a suspension drop they could have almost been 2 different models the difference was that apparent.

Based on the first car I wouldn't be interested or look twice but on the second car I could imagine considering one when the time comes to replace the Fabia. Probably be better from the dealers perspective to keep car number 1 away from the publics eye!

Yeah, it was really silly of SUK to launch the style orientated Rapid on tiny wheels, especially when all the advertising was done with the nice big ones.

Shame they cant decide if it's petrol or diesel

Saw one of these in the showroom. Big fan.

Had a Metal Grey with roof and Camelots turn up yesterday - looks good but does need a set of Eibachs.

Really like the colour, subtle but has a certain edge to it.

I really like the idea of that combination, pics please!

As for the suspension, I'd be happy if Skoda offerred a factory fit 15mm drop as available on the Citigo.

It's still all wrapped up like a giant Christmas present but once it's been prepped I'll get some pics up  :)

A couple of quick snaps, not much cop and the showroom and yard are chocker at the moment.

Thanks Lee, I like that. Would probably add the style pack myself, but nice colour and wheels.
