Trip to TRL Developments!

So has anyone had any dealings with brotek? R tech is a fair old treck for me.

Hi yeah I have a shark performance stage 2 map which was done by mark who owns brotek, great guy and great service, was asked about all the mods on my car prior to map,no problems at all,I know it's still a generic remap, have done logs everything looks fine, boosts at 1.6 bar, tails off to 1.2 bar which is to expected with a ko3s,I have never had it on a rolling road to see what power it has.

Thanks for that buddy. So, you say yours is on to stage 2? Has brotek done all the mapping on your car and can you remember costs?

Yeah on stage 2,front mount intercooler,eBay Cai with decent filter on the end, sai, evap delete,3 inch downpipe with decat, rear 02 sensor mapped out, originally had a cat back blueflame exhaust but had centre silencer taken out and a bit pipe welded in by my m8 who is a stainless steel welder,I'm also running a g60 flywheel and vr6 clutch, clutch gave in when it was stage 1,cost for mapping by brotek was £300 at the time, rest of the bits I'm not sure, been a gradual process over 6 and half years.

TRL mapped my Evo V. Couldn't have been more pleased with it. Decat downpipe, 3" catback system, Evo 9 actuator, K&N cone filter then remap gave 363bhp

Never had anything to do with evo tuning altho have a few friends that have had them and altho of jap stuff tends to run boost controllers but never really heard of any vag stuff using them unless there running stupid power (400 plus)

Surly removing the engines ecu's capability to control boost pressure isn't a good idea as if anything goes wrong it will still be boosting its nuts off so there is a real possibility that big damage could be done.

The car will run rubbish with the the N75 on if the ecu hasn't been mapped to use it,

Personally i would have sorted all the cars problems out first before going for it mapping and if the old map was so bad i would want it flashing back to standard first then go from there,

Surly a custom map is more aimed at a highly modified car rather than a standard one as my vrs is running more power than that with a generic stage one and a few breather mods and it was cheaper,

What plans do you have for the car and what sort of power are you hoping to run?????
