Is anyone going?

Managed to get hold of some tickets today took an hour and a half due to such high demand of the last 1,000 when they went on sale at 12!

There's a few Octy owners going. I'm still not sure if I want to go though

They have all sold out mate, last 1000 sold out in 7 minutes today! The website crashed and it had to be re-booted. I was waiting for 90 mins then once the website went live they all went within 7 mins! Mental

Wow sounds like it's going to be crazy. Looks like I missed out on this one then

I don't think there will be much point going down the strip though, bet that will be heaving!

I think the whole of Facebook is after some tickets by the looks of it!

Mine arrived yesterday, Charlie, I will 100% confirm with you about the 'extra' spare 1 :)

I just won a pair of tickets so ill be there im travelling from south wales where the rest of you travelling from?

How much were the original tickets? Hoards of w*nkers selling them for hundreds on Gumtree. Unless of course they were hundreds to begin with, then my apologies!

4quid they were

Yeh tickets were £4 all money goes to charity

It's a cheap day out if managed to get one

Can't beleive some of the ridiculous pieces people are trying to get for them

Currently £620 for 1 ticket.

I really don't get what the deal is with this. Yes it's sad he died but he wasn't actually a driving God, just pretended to be one. I wish I had some tickets, though, could do with some free money.

The original ticket price £4 all goes to Paul walkers charity. These on eBay/Facebook are just out to make money! Makes me sick. Santa pod are bidding a lot up so they don't sell and are watching out for the people just out to make money.

I think there is just a couple of generations that watched and enjoyed (most) of the F&F films and think it's a tragic loss. That and the fact that Paul Walker was a massive car fan himself and not just an actor portrayed as one. His personal garage collection contained such gems as an E30 M3, M1 and an Escort Cosworth.

Still, personally if I had a £4 ticket to run at Santa Pod, I'd be hanging on to it for the experience and not selling for hundreds. Each to their own though.

Nathan

I don't think you'll ever expain it.

Those that get it do, those that don't don't.

I'm in the latter camp as to me he was an actor in some films which I thought were a bit daft.

But at the end of the day it's up to people to do what they want.

The turnout at Santa Pod is going to be huge with all kinds of cars there, I'd estimate the attendance will be so great you'll be lukcy to actually run down the pod unless you queue for several hours.

I saw a Fiesta Zetec this morning with the "Dude, I almost had you" sticker in the back.

So I'm guessing he'll be there.

Paul was a car fan, just like a lot of other people.

But he seemed to like certain cars.  I don't remember hearing about his love of Fiestas.

I exptected it to be popular with the Japanese car tuning guys and girls, but it's going to be swarming with everything from basic Fords and Citroens (mostly) to a few top end cars.

The atmosphere may be worth it.

I think it was because he inspired people to get enthusiastic about their cars - whatever they were.

You know what, I think you've hit the nail on the head there.

I watched one of them recently and it did indeed make me want to remap the vRS!

I'm 21 and can say truthfully that Paul walker and the Fast films inspired me, ever since watching the first Fast and the Furious I have loved cars, if it wasn't for him and the films I wouldn't be driving what I am now or attending shows, track days etc etc. How you can say he pretended to be a driving god is beyond me, he was an enthusiast like the rest of us which lead him into the films that were based around him, show a bit of respect and don't bother posting if you've got nothing nice to say.

I'm 29 and I'm a grown up. I do like the films, they are entertaining. Acting is pretending. I thank you.
