Cost to paint a front bumper?

Featured Replies

Just after a ballpark figure to paint a new front bumper. Already in primer, brand new. Anyone had this done recently?

Cheers

Had a quote for mine a few months ago, primerd and sprayed/ laquered for £170 inc VAT at a local reputable spray shop. If your new one is already primered it should be slightly less I would have thought.

It all depends on where and the quality...

£140 - £190 I would have thought depending where you go.

Lee, where's this local place? I'm after getting my bonnet done :)

I was £300 to get a rear resprayed. I'm guessing costs would be similar.

That was for metallic. A flat colour might be cheaper.

I was quoted £240 ish from our local body shop to repair and respray my rear bumper in metallic silver.

I've got an unprimed new bumper for them instead and they estimated about £140 for that as there is nothing for them to remove from the car and no black trim attached to the bumper.

When I get definite figures after Christmas, I'll update this thread. But I've got to drill new holes for the parking sensors in the bumper before it goes for spraying.

£160 to get my rear painted about 6 months ago at local back street shop.

I paid about £250 for the bumper on the Rallye.  It was an amazing job & worth every penny but there are cheaper places to go.

The one I've just had fitted on the Mk2 cost me £120 all in at Quarry Bodyworks, Waddington, just outside Lincoln  :)

Already mentioned to them I'll point some others their way ;)

That's very good.  I haven't got anyone round here that can compete with such a good price.
