The Ad says a DSG the photos show a manual

You decide

The ad also says the radio's a Swing and a belero, it's got 2 radio's

If the seller can't be bothered to advertise the correct car I can't be bothered to look

Sorry, it's just how I am

2 gearboxs

2 radios.

MMmmm i wonder what else is wrong.  confused-face-smiley-emoticon.gif

Looks a nice enough example, however it needs a phone call to the dealer to confirm the correct spec.

Same here if seller can't be bothered I wouldn't be interested, obviously dosnt know what stock they have

i hear what your saying folks..!!

That advert is utterly shocking for a skoda dealer, I've seen more accurate stuff on eBay, not just the factual points but perhaps a spell check or proof read before you embarrass yourself as a main dealer.

Yeh folks i know the advert is a real balls up but what about a bit of advice on what to look out for and what to ask about on a VRS of this age and milage if i do decide to go and have a look at it. cheers.

Think the pictures are of a later registered car, as the carbon inserts didn't appear until 2012 ish.

Don't discount the car just because the offiice junior got the spec wrong on the advert and maybe uploaded the wrong photo!! or the salesman was in a rush to get to the Xmas party.

At the end of the day from a main dealer it will be a Skoda approved warranted vehicle...... go and have a look and make up your own mind. It may be that the workshop guys are a lot more professional.

Dont miss a potentially good car!

One thing I would check is the centre rear seat section backrest looks really baggy!

As an aside my 2009 manual car comes up on searches on websites, insurance etc, as DSG tho the log book correctly states manual.

unfortunately this kind of **** up is common at Skoda dealers they adverised my fabia as se manual when it was dsg elegance. They are very clumsy on the advertising front im afraid.

You can get lucky with rubbish advertising though.

The dealer advertising mine didnt seem to realise what a car they had as it was a little older with 90k on it. There was no mention of the Columbus, front sensors or xenons on the ad. I went and saw it as I could just make out the sensors and xenons from one of the photos and it was an obvious bargain, especially when I saw the Columbus. They were happy to throw in a cambelt and two new tyres just to get rid for space on their forecourt for their more expensive stock!

I wouldnt dimiss it just because of a badly written ad,id just be checking all the usual stuff, fsh, accident damage etc, tyres,i dont know if the spec will be different from a uk car? I know southern ireland cars are in km's not miles.

Hi mikey im in the north of ireland which is a part of the U.K so it will be the same as cars from the mainland .

drivers seat looks a bit collapsed on the lower bolster but apart from that seems OK

Yeh marko i seen that ...i always fit a black waterproof (just incase a bit of wee leaks out) seat cover to all my drivers seats in my cars so visually not that worried  .pissing.gif

Edited by O.C.D.

I know how vulnerable these seats are so always keep the drivers seat covered up for day to day stuff and take care getting in and out, maybe a bit anal but I like a nice fresh interior, the only time it's abused is when it goes to the dealers for servicing and stuff and they drag their feet across the sills with muddy boots :(

  • NOT 1.4 16V OR 1.6TDI)  You don't Say

That add is a joke WTF's a 'Belero'?

  • Author

Funny you say that Marko because i always have to spend an hour or so cleaning there bloody big ape like boot marks of the sills and the carpet.

Have they not learnt the skill of lifting their feet yet or is that a skill to far. I also leave a large sign in the car saying-

Do not wash. thanks !!!

Wouldn't you love to have the swingers to say to them when you drop your car off not to be dragging their cement block like sh1ty boots all over the fecking car.
