New Yeti Ordered

Civic estate?

I'm just into my 12th week of waiting for our Octy III 4x4 and I've still not got even a provisional build week out of the dealer :giggle:

They originally quoted 12-15 weeks tops when we placed the order back in early October but current estimates suggest at least 20 weeks if not more to collection; March sometime :wonder:  :S

Tim, I assume you traded your Yeti in against the new Octi. do you still get the original trade in price if the delivery date goes out as the mileage on the Yeti will have increased, devaluing it's value some what

Your guess is as good as mine :giggle:

Only thing they asked when ordering, was the Yeti's mileage be no more than 40k at the end of Jan 14 (forecast latest delivery), which I agreed to and will comply with, just by a whisker. Have asked for further clarification, following notification of the extended lead time but I'm still awaiting for someone from the dealership to get back to me :mmm:

At the end of the day I'm not delaying things Skoda as an organisation are and if they try pass this cost to me the customer I will walk away.

If, as seems possible with no build date for ages, they have sold beyond their allocation it is their gamble as far as trade in value is concerned. They gambled and you should not lose.

We use the same dealer as TP, and no mention was made about mileage when we ordered our Fl Yeti.

There was no mention when we part exchanged our previous Yeti and had to wait for the second.

Both were just over average annual mileage and we put on about 4000 miles whilst waiting.

This was the case in late 2012 with our Fabia order, however this time round things, for whatever reason, were a little different but I was happy to comply with their request, as I had 4.5k to play with at the time but regular commuting etc. can soon get through some miles and I'm down to 1.1k left :giggle:

Sorry about that Truthseeker - brain and finger not synced.
