Im planning on purchasing my new alloys in the coming week. However Im unsure as to what colour I should get the alloys in, they will either be black or white. What do you think would look right on a yellow octavia?

The size will be 17x7, 205/50/17, as the width of the tyres will be narrower than my current alloys, 18x8 on 225's will they have less grip?

Take it you liked colins then :)

I'd say black on your yellow vRS.

Mmm Colins alloys look good. Also very light too.

BLACK! Seen that combo on a (Fabia) vRS with Graeme's one. Not sure that black on black would work, or even perhaps black on silver or red, but with yellow, for some reason it works. :)

Looking pretty unanimous so far for black!

Black and why get the silly tyre size?

Get 8" rims and enjoy 225 's, 235's and 240's :D

Maybe a touch less lateral grip, but then winter, wide tyres are worse than skinny tyres.

Higher sidewall will soften the ride etc.

I chose 7" in standard vrs tyre profile as i want my mpg to go back to normal wider the tyres the more drag, the more fuel burnt.

definately black

Looks like black is winning the day at the moment.

White, don't follow the crowd be an individual :) black and yellow don't mix IMHO.

Black!

White will make your car look like a DairyLea nightmare. Or a fried egg. Or a daisy.

black and yellow don't mix IMHO.

What you got against Bees :P

And black and yellow rocks, the two main colours in my pick up and all is looking good thus far.

black ,because i'm lazy .white will show off the rims better, black is more practical if your don't like cleaning rims.

I just saw them in Halfrauds today...Black and Lightweight...they look really nice. I would get Black and good choice. They were used by a BTCC team apparently.

Im about to order these wheels, I have a question though, im getting 205/40/17. Will the 40 section on the tyre wall affect the accuracy of the speedo? As the oem wheels are 50 section.

Don't think white would work - so I voted for black! :D
