Mk1 VRS front disks and pads

Featured Replies

Morning all, i am on the lookout for new front discs and pads for my VRS and just wanted a quick bit of advice. i have checked eurocarparts for Pagid discs and pads, but i am finding that carparts4less is cheaper as they have £15 off over £100. Could somebody confirm that what i have found below is the correct ones i need?

thanks in advance

Would there be any noticeable different between Padgid and Brembo? After paying for 2 Padgid discs there wouldn't be much different from buying Brembos's...............................

Check the shipping costs as well...

CarParts were cheaper when i was geting mine a few weeks back, but charged double the shipping, so ECP ended up less...

As a dirty oil burner, i'll not say if you have the right ones picked for a vRS above

Yes those are the right ones buddy.

Or even Mintex...................................

should i get the pads with or without wear indicator?

should i get the pads with or without wear indicator?

Get them with, the indicator will only be for one side and if you find that you don't need the wire then you can simply cut it off

Pagid from ECP

anyone know how much eurocarparts charge for disks and pads after the sale? carpartsforless are doing the pads and disks for £85 posted, so just wanted to see if eurocarparts is likely to be cheaper than this?

Use BRISK25 promo code IF there is no offers running for 25% Briskoda discount.

the list price is always there, ECP price is always lower.

and then a sales discount price.

TBH i dont ever remember there not being a discount though!

Ah cheers. Hopefully it'll work out cheaper after the sale is over.

anybody know the approx price the disks and pads will be after the sale? Carpartsdirect do both disks and pads for £85 delivered so wanted to know whether to order through these or just wait?

That sounds like the lowest I've seen

Euro car parts have 30% discount with the code CHILL30

When I did my front disks and pads I used brembo sounds expensive but for the difference in price it's worth the extra braking power :)

For genuine disks and pads from eBay it was £105 delivered :)

Hope this helps

are brembo that much better then pagid?

Yes in my opinion they are ... Much better stopping distance and the feel of the pedal is much better. Also the brembo disks are coated in some form of enamel so no rusty bits just shiney metal and grey.

Overall I think there much better, I shall be ordering a set for all round on my mk1 superb superb shortly

I for some reason decided to put them pirahna funky discs and ds2500 a round :D
