Fabia VRS Seat cleaning MK1

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

New to the forum so apologies if this has been looked at before but what do people suggest for cleaning the lovely light coloured seats in MK1 Fabia VRS? I have no trouble cleaning the outside of the car however the diesel smoke can get a bit intense sometimes!

Many thanks

There is many products that clean them mate, if say the best way to get them back to new is take it somewhere that has a wet vac and pay them to do it. I got a full inside and out valet after my car had been in a bodyshop and the seats came out like brand new !

I use a Vax 6121 carpet cleaner ......

With a mixture of Scotchguard and the Vax cleaning solution .....

it depends how bad they are?
if they are a complete mess then as above valet / wet vac / carpet or upholstery cleaner
but if its just a little bit mucky or has a little mark then i use autoglym interior shampoo ( i think thats what its called )

Im getting mine valeted, just need a new front seat or mone to be repaired.

I have some autoglym interior shampoo to do mine but waiting till spring time to do them. Ment to be good stuff.

I got my interior valeted, think it was £25 and seats came up like new.

I have tried using different stuff before and can never get same results that a specialist valet can.

Amazing job on these! Mine aren't quite that bad so I think I will  start with the Autoglym when it stops raining and then move on and get hold of one of the VAX carpet machines as they seem to do a great job. Thanks for all the comments! :)

Yeah they're great for the money. I took my seats out last time to get to those hard to reach spots when still bolted in.....

Didn't think of that and of course the seats are quite easy to take it so well worth a job when better weather arrives! I have a 3 year old son so I can see myself doing this a lot in the future!!

Great work Baz.

I wish it was my work.  My mate was responsible for doing those.  He done an amazing job on them.

Wow those are clean!

I use a wet and dry vac with Chemical Guys products to clean, after taking the seats out of the car.

However, there is a guide which shows how to remove the covers, or if you're not feeling brave take it to a car upholsterers, it takes them about 10mins to remove them, and around 15 to put the back on. So minimal cost.

Then just pop them in your washing machine on a gentle wash

As per Holmsie above - autoglm interior shampoo is good stuff, but best done on a warm day so that it can dry out.
