Autotrader-dealer.com- any knowledge? scam?

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone have any knowledge or have had any dealings with a company called autotrader-dealer.com?

I've been offered £3,100 for my Octy 2.0Fsi Elegance (2006/55) which seems like a good deal - must sell the car to them in the next 24 hours if the deal is to go through. Just checking whether anybody on here has either received an offer from or sold a car to this company.

Hopefully this is the real deal - website looks OK but you never know...

thanks!

The 24 hour rush job just sounds dodgy. If it is one of those canvassers who spotted your advert in autotrader or wherever and rang you, I would be checking everything to the nth degree and probably leaving it. The name sounds like they are trying to sound like autotrader too. Be very wary.

Sounds either a con or playing off autotraders brand.

If they were autotrader it would be .co.uk, autotrader.com is a different company completely

I had them contact me when I was advertising my mums Audi on AutoTrader.. Absolute scam!

Once you go through to book a 'collection appointment' they ask for a £80 fee to arrange this appointment... That's when the bells started ringing. Steer well clear!

I can smell fish.... very fishy indeed!

Also, address is FREEPOST 315. London. W1S 4TA ?

That's only a hop and a jump from Buckingham Palace's back garden!  Seems an odd place for such an outfit.
