Groan/noise on full steering lock

Featured Replies

Noticed this the other day, on full lock I get a bit of a groan/noise. Nothing drastic, but noticeable.

From what I've read (in the manual and on Briskoda) the MKII vRS has electromechnical power steering and therefor has no fluid. Is this correct? If so, what could be causing the noise- is this normal?

Hi I have a noise on the front drivers side on full lock but only when turning left but mine sounds more like something rubbing or grinding noise bit can't find a cause. Don't know if it could be the same problem if I find out will put on a post. Good luck

Hi,

Did you find out what the problem is? Ive got almost identical problem on my Octavia VRS, noise coming from nearside front wheel, only when turning right. Its been in to the garage and they said it was the brake discs rubbing. Ive now had pads and discs replaced but still have the noise. Any suggestions?
