My 1.4 TDI Polo

Featured Replies

Got some pictures taken (finally) so I thought to show my car here. I've modded the car a bit to my liking and although it has only 1.4 TDI engine it performs quite nicely now. Yet to dyno it but I will post the results in this thread when I get it done. My guess is something like +/- 100bhp according to acceleration calculations etc.

Equipment:

-Comfortline with climatic

-VW sport suspension (15mm lower with firmer dampers and anti-roll bar)

List of mods:

-PD160 Intake

-Green Panel filter

-"Pikey mod" 2 (bumper air intake for intercooler opened a bit)

-Removed trumpet from upper half of airbox (to fully use the benefit of PD160 intake)

-PBox tuning box

-OZ Superleggera 7J16 ET35 with 205/45 Pirelli PZero Nero

With "only" 1100kg the car is joy to handle although it's still not as light as petrol version.. (how about an audi a2 with ASF) :D

Didn't want the car look like boy racer so only mods that matter for the performance of the car were made.

Good looking car , and like you say with a tuning box and the air flow improvements you probably have about 100bhp. That should be quite nippy in a car of that size :D

Looks good but i would lower it a little.

Thanks for the comments. :)

I was thinking about getting eibach sport system however it's a big investment since I'm still thinking about swapping the car (fabia vRS or combi are first on my list at the moment) so might not be worth it.. btw, the car is on uneven surface so esp. the rear looks higher than it usually is.. anyway I'm not after looks over driveability so as long as the car handles well as it currently does, I can't be bothered...

Not sure if you're already a member, but pop over to the UK Polo Forum... http://www.uk-polos.net :)
