I've just been told I have a build date of next week. it wasn't even showing on the system the week before Xmas.

I ordered a vrs tdi estate, blue on 5th October. :-)

Similar to me; ordered 11th Oct then no news on a build date from the dealer. Then after contacting SUK during Christmas they said confirmed WK3; dealer been quite slow with updates.

Spoke to dealer this morning.  Ordered on the 14th November & he said it is build week 2.  1.4TSI DSG SE estate with keyless entry & armrest. 

 

Think Skoda could get some brownie points by having an online order update system - updating when car is built & even when its being loaded onto ship, with a link to the marine navigation website so you can watch it - my mate ordered a car from the US & he spent days watching it cross the atlantic!!! It would make the wait a bit more exciting.

VW do similar don't they except that the info they load onto it was wrong!  I spoke with them about what ship my wofes car was on coming from Mexico, they gave me the name of the ship, it was in Japan or something, so I found the ship it was on and the timetable scheduling for that ship and worked it out myself, I was right to the day!  So even if they did, it would more than likely be wrong, anyway, watching the ship go from Mexico, to Florida, then up the East Coast of the States then to Emden, then transported across the channel etc was painful at times to watch it was so slow!
