Goodbye Citigo Sport...

Featured Replies

Due to financial reasons I am trading in my Citigo sport for a heavily discounted pre-reg Citigo in 'S' trim, same colour same engine. Also a whole chunk less on the finance with reduced monthly payments.

PID & spare wheel.

How many of you own the Citigo S? Same car with less toys! :(

There was no other car I wanted other than a Citigo.

  • We've covered over 600 miles this weekend, done everything I've asked of it and more through all sorts of harsh winter weather..... This is going to be a tearful farewell!!! :(

  • Oh dear, sorry to hear this mate Hope financially this sorts you out. On the plus side, the Citigo is still fun to drive in all its variants.. The rest is just accessories. Glad your staying wit

Oh dear sorry to hear this. At least you still have a Citigo :)

I am sorry to here this.  I haven't yet made a post about by new toy, Sport 5 door collected on Saturday morning.  Loving it.

Bit sensitive posting that on here I suppose, sorry :'(   Anyway, I have made some posts that I would be more than happy to have an S spec.

I drove one for 24 hours as a loan car to try it, big smiles all day long.

Great car, effectively drives the same as the SE, Elegance and Sport anyway.  Will probably be quicker than mine as it has lighter, smaller wheels :giggle:

They are all great cars, as long as you have a Citigo you are still cool.

I'm sure my little S will be just fine, only got 18 miles on the clock and I'll have to go through the running in period again! (which is no hardship).... I now know once I get towards 2000 miles how the 1.0 engine will be a perky little performer whilst sipping very little juice! :)

Still have the PID which is one of my favourite things inside the car.

Wind down manual windows and no central locking *cough* lol Hope the PID can still show the rev counter & engine temp like the one in my sport does.

Have you already traded it in?

I may be able to help with a cheap sport I have coming shortly...

The deals already been done & deposit paid on the new one, I'll get used to the lack of toys, the main thing is that I still have a Citigo, fun to drive and a very comfortable place to spend time in - I'm 6'3.

You can also add a few things and make it look like a sport if you want to over some time... :D

At the end of the day, it's doing the same job.  Just without a few things like the electric windows.

Does that mean an "S" is lighter and faster? ;)

Maybe it will have the edge over the sport due to having less equipment & less weight lol

Here it is. If I miss the black wheels I could always take the wheel covers off :D

Nowt wrong with that fella...

Looks fine to me

I like the all black grill, car looks great.

Keeping the PID, cheeky but very handy. And you still have a rev counter and coolant gauge. Nice

I negotiated the PID into the deal but the spare wheel I paid for is coming out of the sport! :)

Looks ok to me. A Sport in disguise :)

The S is for Superleggera  ;)

Still looks a great a wee car.

Picking the new one up on Tuesday.

Will the PID still show all the info that is currently available on the device fitted in my sport? Don't think the 'S' has a trip computer does it?

If you would have kept the other cars PID's  you would have had to unlock it  as they are coded to a specific car when you first dock it. There was an early thread that mentioned how to wipe it's car memory?

Perhaps I'll get the new Garmin device?

I'm sure the PID will still show the same info.

I'm also sure you should get a garmin device too.

:heartbreak: Very sad indeed.  Look on the brightisde VRSD30, new one coming soon which will drive exactly the same, maybe without a few bells and whistles.

Great car in any version.

The S model wears 165/65 r 14's, hope the handling is still reasonably sharp, you never really get a good feel of a car on a short test drive with the salesman! 24 hours to go... Perhaps I'll get a nice surprise, can't imagine them being massively different on my kind of roads.

Still gonna have a PID - hopefully garmin, keeping my spare wheel and have the bulb upgrades ready to go straight in plus a chrome grill - not a fan of the plain black!

Would 185/65's fit on the steels? The geometry would be ok? Anyway it might ride fine as it is, a bit softer than the sport.

Distract him and swap the wheels over :D

''Don't mind these trolley jacks, I'll have a look round the car while you go and make me a coffee'' lol Wheel trims off you'd never tell... :)
