If only it was that easy

Sold my PD100 base engine (no box, clutch etc) to a bloke from Swansea last week.... Said he wanted it to put in his PD115 Ford Galaxy, which unbeknown to me, used the same engine!

I wasn't sure it would work but I got a text saying its running fine now! His gearbox, his sump,

Can't you ask the purchaser to pop down and help out with your new engine? ;)

How's progress on it now?

Yeah, Ford Galaxy was exactly the same as VW Sharan/SEAT Alhambra.

PD100 & PD115 are the same engine.

crap mate! :( Didn't touch it all weekend.

Waiting for an internal loom to come and then its an ENTIRE re-wire of the dashboard, etc. Gonna be fun!

God dude, you should have just bought a vRS. With all the time spent on it you're spending much more than 12000 pounds! I mean if you were stickin' a v6 inside I would say okay, but you're up for a >30bhp block over the one you had!

I wish you luck man.

Its starting to reach the point where a second hand vRS would have been affordable, but I still don't care. :D Labour isn't a factor anyway, as its being done DIY style a little. ;)

I agree though, the block is only +30bhp, but the bits on it will take it up & beyond that. :D

Also the fact of saying you actually built the car etc. is a great factor!

You don't know how much of a plus point that is. Got me feeling like I'm doing a kit car.
