Featured Replies

Went down to DM Keith's (Skoda Bradford) to price up and book the car in for a Major Service (Its on variable), Cambelt ( Needs changing at 4 years), AirCon Service, DSG Oil change (Due) and MOT!! :peek:  :( .......Ive only done just over 33,000 miles
They are also going to change the servicing to Annual, as I don't do the miles
Managed to get 10%ish off and Stacey (Parts) gave me a new rear badge for nothing   (I already have a new front one)...Even Alan didn't get them for free...LOL....But I will be spending nearly £800!! (£780) ..Original price was £837!!  :(  :'(

Should have tried Benfield in harrogate Chris, then spend the day at my house detailing my car

  • I ll give Bradford a ring and see what they say...

That's not bad at £0.0236 per mile.

Wow - Well done, Chris!

£837 sounds dead cheap when compared to my Superb.

Have u got a breakdown of the costs?

Coz, I need to book mine in for DSG oil + rear brakes.

Heh, my next service will be the 120,000 mile one. That's everything in the service book at once.

Except the cambelt as that was done 2 years ago.

Dead cheap? Lol

Dsg oil change is £177.43 inc.

Rear brake pads are £99 inc.

Yeah!

I was quoted £220 for DSG

But same £99 for rear pads just this Monday - remember?

So does a Superb use MORE oil then to command £50 more?!!!

Must be the same grade of oil at least?

Cambelt £420

MOT is £40(?)

Major service £250(?)

Exactly the same gearbox and engine Wayne
I think you need to have a word with them

Cambelt is £349......£419 with Water pump (Not changing that)

MOT £39

Major Service £249...They are doing it for £233

Air con Service is £39

DSG Oil change is £177

£837 inc.    They are charging me £780

Why the difference-parts or Overhead rate?

Don't know what you mean?

These prices are Skoda UK prices

The dealer discounted these slightly for me (10%... ish)

Just paid £199 for the 20k service and about £100 for each front tyre, inc fitting.  Better start saving for the 40k one, then.

Can't find a national price for DSG oil :-(

Check to see if the service and air con service prices include the pollen filter, if they both do, as you need only one, there may be scope for a parts saving.

Its discounted down to £39 from £69 when taken with the Service...so I guess it doesnt

£156 for parts for DSG oil change?!!!

So Skoda not making much then on labour?

Chris!

U not doing water pump as well?

Major service says: Pollen filter renew "if" required - eeek!
