Czech Army paint job?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a 2004 Mk1 Octavia that is on 280k miles, and is my daily hack.

Paint work is not brilliant (was a private hire car).

Saw this BMP1 armoured personnel carrier ScreenShot2014-01-09at214659_zps69cdcf76

, and thought about painting mine in NATO matt green, and putting czech flags on the doors, and maybe like this:

Thoughts?

I don't think an Octavia has been done before.

buy a real bmp-1 ;)

It's probably not been done to a Skoda before - because Skoda drivers take pride in their vehicles. ;)

Mine is a £750 shed!

if you paint it that matt green, it'll look like an ex-east german private hire car

ps

If that's the intended purpose - object achieved :giggle:

Go a little further and mount a scaffold pole on the roof - would look like a tank then.

Guess you could wrap it footballist-style?

Just rip it back off, when you've grown bored of it.

If you have instagram look up albinojay hes done his 3series in nato green

wife has banned me.........

Pfft... don't let your wife stop you for God's sake!

I've done this to my car (although in black) and it's the best thing I ever did. Mil paint is fantastic at keeping rust at bay and with all this rain we've been having, if I hadn't of painted the car last summer I can guarantee my motor would be rotten by now.

Take a look at my project by clicking the image below - took me 2 full days to do and the results were great.

If you do decide to do it, make sure you opt for Satin and not Matte!
