I'm back

Featured Replies

You can't switch the fogs on in auto, the switch has to be in manual headlights on position then it should just pull out as your other yeti did.

Well they should work as you describe!

Have you got out to check?

Are the lights on, on the dash?

I haven't gotten out to check but i should have noticed it lighting up more of the road.

I tried it in every mode manual auto doesn't make any difference you just can't pull the switch out.

I don't want to give it a big pull incase I snap it off.

Guess I'll be contacting skoda in the morning to see if it's a fault. I'll give it another try on my way home tonight.

Yes daft as it seems you do have to rotate the switch clockwise from auto to get to a position to operate the fogs and fairly quickly too, otherwise the lights go out :S

Read somewhere the latest switches you can get fogs in Auto and someone suggested the Octy III has this type :wonder: however I'm glad in a number of ways I'm loosing some of these auto functions with the new Octy 4x4 as it's an SE trim :)  Mind I'd prefer it to have cruise like the Yeti SE rather than a function that tells me I need a tea break :giggle:

Back to lights then I've always thought the xenon good in fog as long as you didn't try high beam, then as Dinski describes it's like a wall of thick light reflection.

Turn the switch clockwise to the last position and pull the switch out. Trust me... I'm a magician.

Ok guys just been and tried it, moved it to the last position as mentioned, still won't push or pull out. And the fogs are not coming on either (I got out and checked) it's stuck or I'm still doing something wrong.

Also I can't get the Bluetooth to connect but I will consult the manual in a while.

Quick update looked in the manual it is no different to before it just needed a good pull, seems to have done the trick and now it's quite free. Thanks for everyone's advice

Feel a bit stupid now.

just needed a good pull

Thanks Steve, I couldn't agree more. As good as the musky looks in daylight it has a real unique look at night too. The Anna's are nice although I imagine a bit of pain to clean.

Looking forward to collecting it today.

To be honest I've found them ok to clean. I use wonder wheels with the supplied brush and give them a coat of wax afterwards.

There is never a stupid question if you don't know the answer; two minds are better than one and all that. Also possible the fogs have not been used before and the switch was a bit reluctant to leave it's tried and tested routine

Thanks for all your help guys.

Still going to take the car back to skoda as they are going to fit the clear plastic door foils for me as they are not on, and prone to scratches. But also my bolero stereo needs a firmware update it's so slow at reading from the sd card and my previous yeti didn't suffer from this issue.

Feels so good to be back behind the wheel of the yeti again though.

Really happy with the car , and the heated seats this morning were a godsend.
