Fabia Hatch/Estate Boot Struts - New and OEM

Featured Replies

Hi

As part of the fabia bonnet lifter deal, I have access to new original boot struts, and am happy to make them available to Briskoda at what they set me back.  I sold a pair recently so now know the shipping cost to be able to do this properly.

This strut is for he hatchback fabia.  I am 99% sure (finally) the combi/estate uses the same part, and the "notchback"/saloon uses a different one.

Part number is 6Y0 827 550 C

These are VERY strong indeed.  I've been recommending to bonnet lifter buyers to fit the strut in their boot for a while, and use an old one with the bonnet lifter, as they seem almost too strong for lifting the whole bonnet using just one strut....

I know there are cheaper non-oem parts out there and you are welcome to buy them.    But for the real thing, only this will do.

If you want to buy just one, it will be £15.50 + £4.00 = £19.50 - as sadly shipping is not affected by the amount I send (max 6)

Please PM me if interested.  Thanks

Hmm so that one is for an estate

Please find the estate part number to check. Lee - 31 is combe price as postage is 4 quid. :)

Cheers, Jase :)

Re the part number, In Vagcat it says gas filled strut, fastback combi 6Y0827550A , this part number was superseded by part number 6Y0827550C according to Skodaparts. Is the hatch the fastback? If so then those are the part numbers for the hatch and estate. I guess the notchback is the Saloon :dull:

There are 2 the same and 1 is unique.  If the 2 the same are hatchback and "a n other" - it will fit that one - I am sure "combi" is English for estate too.  Perhaps estate is the same one, and saloon is a shorter strut as it doesn't have to push so far?

That's exactly my thinking, Jase. Wouldn't be as powerful either as it's no glass to lift :)
