Can anybody please tell me where is the Crankshaft Sensor is located.

SSP 223 may help you. On page 50 there's a little image of where it is, but it's not massively clear.  Bottom right of either the front or the back of the block by the looks of it.

I don't know exactly where it is but since it reads from a wheel directly bolted to the end of the crank that should narrow it down a bit! They're usually down behind the block near the bellhousing on most engines.

You get to it from below. Where the oil filter housing/ oil cooler is there is a little loom. If you follow the mini loom to the right of the oil cooler you will see a 1 pin oil pressure switch on the oil filter housing normally green. Keep following the little loom + its the connector at the end of the loom that goes onto the crank sensor.

its hard to see + fidly to get out. It will either be a 5mm allen key or a 4mm allen key holding it in + a wobble head allen key socket is the easiest way to get it out .. u will find you will have to feel it with your hand instead of see it

Thanks all, however whats the secret to disconnecting the connector of the light grey plug/socket where the lead connects to the wiring loom.
