Today's work...

Featured Replies

Finally got round to fitting the Forge FMIC setup I bought off Kev in late November.

Took my time with the install and made sure the pipes weren't fouling or clanging on anything. Some clever use of cable ties was needed! Also took the opportunity to get the elephant mod done. I've run the pipe down so that it comes out at the side of the n/s console bush, and cable tied it in place. I opened up the end of the pipe just in case it decides to freeze.

The Forge kit is nice to fit, and the only cutting I had to do was a small bit of the bumper at the side of the foglight. It was a bit of a squeeze getting the bumper back on properly on the o/s I might add!

Car now sounds ever so slightly different, and seems a tiny bit more responsive. May just be placebo effect though.

Booked in next Saturday to get my map tweaked to full Stage 2 spec :-)  Can't wait!

Looks good Alex :)

Does fit well the kit, if you take abit of time getting it all lined up.

unlike JBS did when they fitted it to mine :(

How long was your hose for the elephant mod?

Cheers for the comments guys! I'm impressed with the fit of it. As you say Kev, it was worth me taking a couple of hours to do the whole job. I've now made sure that it won't be vibrating or catching on anything. Now that would definitely drive me mad! I've cable tied in a few places just to keep it steady - on the right of the cooler just to keep the u-bend section steady, around the maf sensor section, and where the 2 sections first meet just underneath the cooler.

I asked the same question a while ago but didn't get an answer. So I ended up buying 1.5m just in case. I've probably got about 30'ish cm of it left after cutting it. I've routed it so that there's a bit of flex in it for when the engine's moving. I did find the pipe a squeeze to get onto the cam cover outlet though. I soaked the pipe in boiled water and even then I struggled!

Please take another pic when the bumper is back on so we can see how it looks completed.

Will sort you one this weekend Matt. I don't have a widemouth just yet, so you can only see it a small amount. Quite stealthy.

Yea that's cool Alex. I'm interested in getting one but I won't be chopping my bumper (wide mouth) for it.
