Panoramic roof

Featured Replies

I like to have the interior curtain taken well back in winter so the kids can see the sky

However the curtain moves back to the closed position of its own accord on a regular basis

Unless I am missing something there doesnt seem to be any explanation to this in the handbook

Is there any way to keep the curtain open?

Untick the 'rain closing' option with the maxidot setup screen. :)

Surely that only stops the roof itself from closing automatically when it rains?

I also have a 'panny' roof and the blind closes every night - presumably a timeout of a few hours.

I never close it myself but, like you, prefer it open so it's open when I get home and always closed the next day.

Nope, Yeti_Man is right, it closes the sunroof, sunblind and windows.

so this has been bugging me as well, and I took a look tonight with VCDS at the central convenience module coding.

the main module has not got a long coding helper, so I was unable to see anything in there. the other two were the ALS and the Rain sensor. in the rain sensor coding, you could enable/disable the rain close feature, but there wasnt any option to leave the sunroof open i'm afraid.

so nothing that useful there I am afraid.

The strange thing about this is that most of the time the curtain is closed but some mornings the curtain is still open. Perhaps it is a time limit, late night driving combined with an early morning drive... It would be really nice to have it open all the time!

Hi there,

I had this on my previous Yeti, with the same issue.  From memory, this is a temperature issue, when the outside temp drops below a certain point, the blind closes to retain heat within the car.  Not sure how how you disable this.

Mine seems to stay open all day (06:00 - 21:00) but only at night does it close at some time, personally I don't find it a problem to press the open button once a day.

Would be interesting to know what causes it to close though

This was happening in my car as well. would always close at night whether there was rain or not. When you untick the 'rain closing' option on maxidot it stops closing automatically - it is a pity because I would like the option for 'rain closng' in the summer (but I would also more likely close the blind in that time of the year).
