This year my age will end in a 0 and I'm looking for ideas for a trip to the alps to for 10 to 14 days in early September thinking about taking my own car to drive some mountain passes, long trip as I live up in the north of Scotland, but having driven to Greece a few years back with my work it will not be a problem, though flying and hiring a car may be an option... just looking for any hints or tips and I will be on my own...

Not sure if the Milau Viaduct is on the way, but if it is, I'd put that onto my route. Tallest bridge *Clarkson* in the world.

I've done this and it's brilliant, and reasonably well signposted on the ground too. From Lake Geneva to Monaco.
