Picking up new car

Featured Replies

Hi all after ordering my Sport on 30th September 2013 I will finally pick it up on Saturday, Is there anything I should check when picking it up?

Try to collect in dry, bright weather....avoid rainy conditions. Inspect paintwork carefully...dealers' valeters can be really bad at their job, and your paintwork can be damaged (think dirty cloths and scratches). I have personal experience of this...which resulted in a replacement car being ordered (after some heated discussions!).

Same here with the paint...

Cant wait until spring, for a machine polish to get the dealers handiwork removed

Have a great day on Saturday

Enjoy the "King for the day" feeling :)

A Big +1 to both the above..

I've had a car scratched by the dealer kindly washing it after a service.

Are there things I need to know about the PID or anything else?

Just make sure you register it within 30 days and claim your freebie

mine expired   :(

Yeah mines expired too :(

Sent from my PID using Tapatalk

Whats the freebie chaps, I have still got 3 days to go so haven't missed it yet but only because friendly Briskodians mentioned it otherwise I would have to.

Dealer never mentioned!

You need to register your PID on the Garmin Fresh website, and type the code in what is in your PID manual.

Think its FRESHMAPS, and you get a free update.

You have to do it within 30 days of the PID being attached to your car

I think it's a free map update?

Thank you Damo and staib
