Think we said that in your last thread.

Good deal-enjoy,as you'll have it very soon I guess

That's what I like to hear, playing the stealers at their own game.

Lovely looking motor and cracking deal, I was just saying to do the exact same thing on another thread yesterday.

SWMBO will not doubt be happy then, along with yourself of course.

A beauty there Tom.

My jealousy is rising at all these lovely vRS estates being bought.

I blame Sharkrider!

Damn that looks nice

Hate to tell you that the leather pack and multi function wheel is standard.

not sure what the difference is between the hatch and the estate but it does seem a lot compared to what we paid for a hatch.

looks good though ;)

Nice!!!

That's an interesting comment there about the MFSW mate. I'm aware the standard car has a multifunction wheel (our current hatch has this) but the one on the vehicle we are buying is listed as having the upgraded one which works with the Bluetooth phoneprep. It's listed in the brochure as an option for £165 which is only available when you also spec Bluetooth.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression this was required to control the Bluetooth/phone from the wheel? I wonder if someone who has Bluetooth can confirm this? If it's not true and the standard wheel will do this then I'll be contacting the dealer for another £165 off the car lol!

The main tangible difference between hatch and estate is the fact the boot jumps up from a modest 300L to an impressive 480L.

This is the main reason we went for it. 1st baby is due in a few weeks and we felt the estate would be more suited to carrying all the extra baby clobber around! You get a couple of extra things like roof rails and a power socket in the boot. It's also nice to know that the Estate is actually lighter and faster too (by 1mph haha!).

Some say the Estate looks better and also the ride is improved versus the hatch too. The jury for me is still out on this but I'll do a mini-review once I've driven it around for awhile.

I know 17k seems a lot but once you factor in the 0% APR PCP it's actually working out cheaper than our VAT-free vRS hatch both in terms of total cost and reduced monthly payments. :-)

I thought that your original thread mentioned Meteor Grey, as the car it the show room.

Am I wrong?

The original showroom car which we have now bought is silver (see first post in previous thread). Meteor grey was mentioned as that's the colour SWMBO really wanted and is what we would have gone for if we had a factory order. Happy with the silver myself but she defo prefers the grey!

Tom ,

the missus will love it eventually ,it looks great.

Is it black /grey interior.

Has it got auto Climate control.

Yes Keith it's got the black/grey seats. Also got the auto climate - lifts the look of the interior a notch imho. Interestingly Climate was the one option SWMBO insisted on!

It's a con. It's basically padding out the cost of the bluetooth module. Mine doesn't have bluetooth, my mate's car does, the wheels are the same. In fact we had a bet as he was adamant mine wouldn't come multi function. Mine has a phone button just the same and I've no doubt that if you plugged a bluetooth module in it would work exactly the same. In fact what they should have done is put the extra set of buttons on the other side of the wheel like my octavia as you still have to control all the phone features from the stalk. Then maybe it would be worth a 165 option.

Spot on. The wheels are identical the only difference is that the more expensive one is wired up so the phone button actually works.

Definitely a rip off. Can't see the point of spending the Bluetooth without the wheel function and skoda know this.

Personally I wouldn't have specced Bluetooth at all but since it is already on the car that's that really. :-)

Nice one on the new car looks sweet

excellent Tom, you got a deal! :) nice looking car, as Sparkly says, the estates are best :P ;)

I have bluetooth and climate as options on mine, and I wouldnt be without them! I simply make sure the AC is on, and leave the climate on "auto" works a treat (pressing the demist button if the windscreen is bad on a frosty morning..) I have a HHD in the MDI, but I have too much on it (200gig) and it takes an hour to initiate, so i stream music from my phone through the bluetooth system, works a treat! , press the button on the steering wheel, say "music" then say "play" select BT on the head unit and off you go !

needs some eibach springs on it ;) see if you can get them fitted for delivery , and get the 3 year warrenty on them :) !

keep us updated on your experiances! (still can't beleive they were expecting to sell it for circa £20k! lol)

Cheers mate - got there in the end! I also can't believe they expected it to be sold for the list price. Who in their right mind would pay near 20k for a Fabia? Chuffed with the deal I got in the end. I suspect it may have been possible to get a little more off by using a broker and/or paying cash but I'm happy with the deal I secured which is the main thing.

Taking the showroom car means no long wait for delivery either :-)

That's good news about the Bluetooth and streaming - I was wondering if that was possible.

Not thought about the Eibachs at this stage - would make sense but I'm not sure SWMBO would be happy if the ride was made any firmer - she never really took to the Milltek I put on he last one lol!

Ahhh thanks Sparkly! We are getting quite excited now and trying to make the most of our freedom and sleep before he arrives.....

Told you they'd cave in on price after a while! If it had become a "demo" they would have lost a few k more beyond what they sold it to you for.

Looks good, nice combo of the silver paint, black rails/grille/lights/mirrors and dark chrome wheels.

silver is quite rare actually,....

Looking forward to seeing if the estate feels any quicker than the hatch:
