Ordered my new Yeti on the 3rd Jan been given week 11 build.

Well my existing 10 plate red 170TDi Elegance Yeti has now passed 80,000 miles so after a bit of shopping around, I have just ordered a new Yeti this afternoon from Simpson's Skoda at Colne in Lancashire (even though I live 175 miles away in Cambridgeshire).

 

This will be the 3rd Skoda I've bought from them - as usual they came up with a far better deal than any of my local dealers could offer, although some did try very hard.

 

I have gone for the stealthy look this time:

 

Skoda Yeti Outdoor Elegance 170 TDi 4x4 Manual,

Black magic paint, Silver door mirrors, Part Silver roof rails,

Matterhorn Alloys with an extra full size matching alloy for a spare,

Told to expect it around end of April, 12 weeks time.

 

Thats going to seem like a very long 12 weeks!

Have you actually had confirmation that front and rear mudflaps are available for the FL Yeti? My understanding is that the new rear bumper means that they differ from the pre FL and so only fronts are available.

Mr Dealer Man just called, Yeti#2 now built (end-Dec order) a so should be a 14 Plate.

Will have to swap winters over before the end of winter ;-)

Went to the dealer today to sign the finance forms etc. Pick it up on Wednesday

Call from dealer today, car due with them next week. Picking it up first week in March so as to get 14 plate. VRS sold as well, Happy days.

Interesting.....so which week number builds are now arriving in dealers?

We ordered a 1.2 SE Outdoor mid November, originally build week 6, then went to 7 for a couple of weeks, then back to 6, so expected beginning of March in time for the plate change.

Car now built and on it's way to Emden.

Our's is sitting at the dealers ready for the 1st arrived today only 5 month wait.

Ordered today, been advised 6 months!!!!!!

How come ours (similar spec, but no DSG) took 6 weeks ? :-(

I tried to order a Y&K Yeti to replace my Elegance in Candy White with a Black roof and Panoramic Sunroof, for some strange reason this option is not available. Bizarrely You can however, order an Elegance and spec it up to L&K and have that  with a Black roof/Panoramic sunroof combination?

 

I rang Skoda UK to clarify and the learned gentleman I spoke to could give no positive answer, he did however tell me that he thought it might be due to the fact that the L&K only comes in an exclusive Magnetic Brown Metallic, which is obviously incorrect because I placed my order on the 28th Jan for an L&K in Rosso Brunello Metallic.

 

I also think that the Jan 2014 Yeti brochure is very poor, all the photo`s show continental spec vehicles, all left hand drive and most have Amundsen units fitted. In particular, page 28 - 29 show the L&K with silver roof rails when it is only available with part silver, the dash is shown with "Wood Inserts" when they are in fact piano black. You would think that there should be some form of notation on a page that does not portray standard spec.

 

Rant over - back to reality and build week 15, a lot more palatable than the 10 month wait for my current 2011 Yeti.

I ordered my new Yeti L&K 12 days ago and haven't even been able to get a build date yet was to told to expect to wait 12-16 weeks when ordered. The dealer told me to expect a build date after 2 or 3 days beginning to worry that its going to take a long time to arrive.

Picked up my petrol blue 1.2 manual City today. Ordered on 17 November, so I make that 12 and a half weeks... at the lower end of the 12-16 weeks I was quoted.
